in these photos i am responding to laura letinsky.
Laura Letinsky photographs crumbling, half-eaten cakes and tablecloths stained after a raucous meal. Dirty spoons, empty cantaloupe rinds, half-eaten lollipops and clumsily cut slices of bread are her subjects. Her pieces, she says, explore “the problem of the illusion of perfection.”

form over function
andré kertez
in this task I am responding to andré kertez and his iconic picture the fork which depicts just a fork leaning on a plate this photo is interesting with its use of shadows and form over function
andré kertez is a photographer who in 1928 took the picture named the fork why this picture is being taught still today is that it doesn't have meaning like pictures of monarch it is just its form over function his work emphasises form over function and he explores the photographs composition and geometry and form and that he explores the real nature of things he was born in Hungary an not knowing both English and French he always felt like an outsider he explores and expresses himself with his photos. Henri cartier breton said "each time kertéz's shutter clicks I hear his heart beat. |
first set of photos
these photos had all been edited in photoshop i did this by upping the mid and dark tones to create more contrast and I disabled the red green and blue channels leaving it in black and white.

eating sequence
for this task we had to take a picture of an apple at different stages of consumption and we turned them into both a photo collage or a gif
www. the apple seems to stay in the same position and the background was filled in with little artefacts/feathering
ebi. the apple was a green one i prefer the colour contrast with a green apple

this is an American animator called pes he makes really cool stop motion films using objects around the house disguised as something else below is my attempt of a response
the resolution is this low because there were too many frames for weebly to handle therefore we had to turn down the resolution
www. i like it and i think the overall assembly of the sweets looks nice and i like the colour of the green table tennis table contrast with the white paper
the stop motion is a little rushed as there wasn't much time and if i could i would take many more frames to smoothen it and also the resolution is low.
